Lisa's art started purely by chance. After an extensive search for something to spice up her newly landscaped garden, the designer was disappointed with what was available in the market. With a desire to create, a growing passion for steel, together with interior design training; Lisa launched her own brand "LisaSarah" in 2007. She hasn't looked back since.
Mid 2018, wanting to add texture to her collection of steel works, Lisa set about the search for the most eco-friendly, functional and best looking rope she could find.
With her primary medium (steel) acknowledged as the world's most recycled material - it is, in fact 100% recyclable over and over again with little degradation - it was important to Lisa that her chosen twine measure up.
Earthy and beautiful, Lisa quickly decided on hemp rope. Hemp is strong, compostable, sustainably produced, and a renewable resource. It embodies Lisa's eco-friendly ethos and compliments the steel perfectly.
All of Lisa’s work is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
As well as an obsession with steel, Lisa loves pretty things, great design, colour and cushions! Lisa lives on Auckland's North Shore with her fabulous husband Baden and her boys Corban (17) and Denham (15).
