Welcome to the MOON Press Office
Founded in 1837 and with our roots in apparel, we are one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in Great Britain, with a reputation for consistent quality and innovative design.
Proud British Manufacturer MOON launches new interior collection; MOON - Stripes & Checks
Launching in September 2023 and inspired by the work of eighteenth century landscape artist Capability Brown; the grounded style of MOON - Stripes & Checks reflects the parklands and country estates of Great Britain.
Brown’s style, known as the "English landscape garden," was synonymous with captivating rolling hills, informal clusters of trees, lakes, and serpentine streams which is reflected in the simple yet striking designs of MOON - Stripes & Checks. Combining comfort and elegance, the palette of muted colours and textures of soft greens, blues, and browns helps to create a serene, peaceful aesthetic seamlessly linking the Earth’s natural form into home interiors with effortless coherence.
Whether looking to add a touch of tranquillity to your home or to create a more natural-feeling space, MOON - Stripes & Checks offer a versatile and timelessly refined choice. Equally suited to both traditional and classic interiors, as well as creating an elegant atmosphere within contemporary spaces.
All of the Moon luxury woollen interior fabrics are created at their fully vertical mill in Guiseley, Yorkshire. Documenting over 185 years of premium craft through quality fabric. Their story is a celebration of the British textile industry.
Since its establishment in 1837, MOON has perfected the art of textile manufacturing. They are experts in the creation of high-quality cloth for both apparel and interiors - creating authentic, woollen fabrics with deep meaning and enduring value for leading fashion brands and interior designers worldwide.
Today, they are one of the select few mills within the UK that manufacture and sell cloth directly to their customers from a single site. They are rare in their ability to fashion premium fabrics in such an ethically considerate manner.
The MOON business was born out of ingenuity and innovation. These same values still flow through the company today. With over 185 years of history behind them, they are rightly incredibly proud of their rich heritage and the people who create their cloth.
ECCENTRIC - New MOON interior collection
Launching 17th February 2023, this collection is a doff of the hat to the designers, artists and individuals who established the rather charming English Eccentric style and made it what it is today.
From soft, muted pastels inspired by watercolours right through to striking heraldic shades, the colour palette of this collection is quintessentially English through and through.

Unleash your inner eccentric with the timeless charm of English Eccentric style. This quirky and unique aesthetic is all about embracing individuality, breaking the mould, and creating a home that is uniquely yours. Whether you're drawn to bold patterns, whimsical accessories, or a mix of vintage and modern pieces.
From over-the-top wallpaper to bold, bright furniture, Eccentric style is all about making a statement and having fun with your decor. Eccentric by Moon allows you to embrace your individuality and create a space that truly reflects your personality.
All of the Moon luxury woollen furnishing fabrics are created at their fully vertical mill in Guiseley, Yorkshire. From there, they control all production processes; dyeing and blending the raw wool fibres, spinning the mélange yarns, warping, weaving, and then finishing the fabrics. Founded in 1837 and with roots in fashion, they are one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in Great Britain, with a reputation for consistent quality and innovative design.
Their unique ranges for both domestic furnishings and contract projects can be found everywhere from traditional British retailers to 5-star hotels, and even 10 Downing Street.
