Lockdown launch of new interior business

An established business woman who has always dreamed of a career in interiors has launched a new home interiors business.

 

April Bowden from Northumberland, has set up Home Luxe Co after seeing more and more people turn to home improvement projects during the lockdown.

 

Home Luxe Co offers a wide range of contemporary and stylish home accessories such as drawer pulls, artificial flowers, planters and door knockers for people who are passionate about their homes but haven’t necessarily have the budget to splurge.

 

And after just two months, it is already enjoyed significant sales success with orders coming from the U.K and as far as the U.S and Australia. 

 

April, who has worked in marketing for over six years and specialises in helping businesses grow their presence on social media, said: “I have always wanted to set up an online store where I could really utilise my skills in buying, web design and marketing but in a creative output that I could call mine. 

 

Using my previous skills in marketing and social media, i’ve been able to drive traffic to the website by growing my presence on social platforms like Instagram, reaching out to influencers and working with furniture designers.”

 

“I saw that everyone was at home and spending time improving their home interior and thought that it would be the perfect time to launch Home Luxe Co. Lockdown has provided me with a real opportunity to work on what has been a passion project for a long time."

 

Home Luxe Co has already had a string of successes including featuring in House Beautiful magazine, and a personalised door wedge handmade by April’s Dad featured on former TOWIE star Lydia Bright’s Instagram Live.

 

Home Luxe Co now plans to grow and build on its product lines and offer its customers a wider choice for their home, whilst taking on a storage unit and offer employment.
