This delightful dusky pink design is named in honour of my mother. Ida-Lilja was her full name, though she was known throughout her life as “Lill”. She was a remarkable woman with an enduring passion for life, and the inspiration behind my homeware brand, NINA D.
Meticulously hand-illustrated by Nina using watercolour on carefully selected paper, the design features an Art Deco–inspired scalloped pattern. Each element is individually painted and cut by hand, then photographed to create a striking two-dimensional effect with depth and elegance.
