top3 Official NEW RICHMOND STORE LAUNCH May 19th 2016

MEDIA RELEASE: 02 May 2016

Top3 By Design, purveyors and curators of design products of local and International brands and artisans, announces the launch of their Melbourne Flagship showroom.

The Richmond Showroom, spanning over 295m2 is the biggest and most impressive of the four Top3 By Design showrooms (Crows Nest, NSW – Moore Park, NSW – Emporium Melbourne, VIC) which stocks a coveted edit of over 200 brands including Iconic International Brands such as Alessi, Braun, Cocoon, Design Letters, Garden Glory, Gubi, Iittala, Kartell, Missoni Home, Normann Copenhagen, Nomess, Stelton, See Concept, Swell, Snurk, Vitra, Zuny as well as high profile and emerging local Australian brands such as Basil Bangs, Dreamfarm, Fink, Memobottle, Ninnho Orbitkey, Page Thirty-Three, Roosters Rook, Ross Gardam, Sagitine, Slip, The Beach People, Zakkia just to name a few.

Established in 2001, the Top3 by Design concept continues to maintain the principles of fostering design, not stealing it, thus all Top3 by Design products are 100% authentic. “It’s about editing options, not limiting choice - reducing the excess that falls outside the Top3 by Design parameters of quality, innovation and style. We stock up to 3 products per category, the best in the world by merit of design’ explains Terri. ‘Not by brand alone, and not by price – by merit of their design and quality, and authenticity’ says Terri Winter, Founder and Curator of Top3 by Design.

The showroom and fit-out, designed and overseen by Terri, complements the contemporary product edit where the Mondrian inspired white cabinetry, steel tubs and linear steel shelves enables visitors to the showroom to see larger design pieces, showcase furniture and small collectable items in a ‘living context’. Above all, top3 by design takes the snobbery out of design. Design should be enjoyed day to day and the showroom is set up in such a way to encourage interaction with product. The staff at top3 by design are design passionate individuals who revell in discussing the products and their merits. Questions are encouraged and mispronunciation of a brand name is of no concern here.

Terri and Showroom Manager Travis Chambers will officially launch the new premises on Thursday 19th of May (6.00pm-8.00pm) to celebrate the iconic space and creative hub to an audience of local designers, industry and creative influencers.
