Natural shrunken surface. The structure of this lively and extra rustic oak collection is based on a naturally deformed and subtly brushed surface. Contrary to regular engineered flooring, lumber with a relative high humidity level is cut to wearlayers, and then left to dry. This results in natural ‘shrunken’ surface undulations around the characteristic cracks, end-cracks and knots. Subsequently a selection of the knots and cracks are hand-scraped and partially filled to enhance the aged character of the floor. Occasionally there may be some band sawn cross marks present.
