This classic blue Breton Stripe Wool Blanket is reminiscent of our favourite summer Breton T-shirts, and the ideal way to take summer all the way into winter. Breton jumpers are everywhere this season - we don't want summer to end!
Natural unbleached white twill wool is overlaid with fine navy stripes with ends edged with a frame of twisted tassels that run on from the main stripes.
A simple yet striking style made from 100% pure wool, so it is not only exceptionally warm, but has low polymer production levels too. Perfect over your legs, around your shoulders on cool evenings, or as a runner at the end of the bed for a bit of extra winter warmth.
Traditionally the Breton stripe was the uniform for French sailors, particularly so that men overboard could be easily located and retrieved. Challenge: if you count more than 21 stripes you’ll be victorious over Napoleon Bonaparte – 21 represented his number of victories – either way, do treat yourself to a boulée or deux of Cidre Breton!
