Sonya’s most ambitious colour mixing work to date. Developing the ideas first seen in the popular After Matisse area rug, Bubbles Outline is the result of mixing sensual curves of colour against a contrasting background. This contemporary designer rug is part of a limited edition run of 20.
This foundation allows for complex colour mixing, further emphasized by varying pile heights and hand carving. As an area rug, the sculptural shapes add a three-dimensional aspect to the colour mixing. On the other hand, as a wall hanging, the overlapping circles can be seen to mix a number of times. A complex combination of hues create a spectacular statement to any space.

Bubbles Outline is an area rug/wall hanging that is entirely hand knotted in pure New Zealand wool. Colours are hand dyed and Goodweave artisan weavers craft the design as one continuous piece, on the loom. These rugs are often used as kitchen rugs, dining room rugs, living room rugs and bedroom rugs.
