These beautiful blue and gold double disc studs are made from tagua that has been dyed and hand-carved by Magdelena of the MYA project in Ecuador, and brass discs that have been hand cut and polished by Lizet of Hope Jewellery in Peru.
The discs have been fixed to a sterling silver ear post by Amy and Rachel from the fabulous Just Trade workshop in London, making each pair of earrings a truly global collaboration.
'But, what is Tagua?' we hear you cry. Well, Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the South American jungle. Often known as 'vegetable ivory', it is a sustainable and completely environmentally sound alternative to animal ivory.
If you're looking for a show-stopping gift, pair these earrings with this matching Deep Blue Irregular Single Necklace and we'll parcel them up together, ready to impress.
