Description

aking its name from Claude Debussy’s iconic musical masterpiece, the Clair de Lune collection is inspired by authentic French antique furniture designs.
Each piece is lovingly hand-crafted and celebrates the warmth and charm of natural wood, coupled with the skill of artisanal carving and craft. The wood is finished with a mild distemper to enhance the natural grain and encourage the wood to age with elegance into your antique of the future.
This sense of history is balanced with a nod to contemporary style; each piece in the collection shares the same hand-carved design language, and thoughtful design touches.
The Clair de Lune Collection is made from solid Bayur wood, an indigenous and sustainable mahogany from Indonesia that grows in regulated and certified forests to ensure responsible foresting practices. Timeless in design and quality in materials, when treated with care, each piece will bring joy for generations.
The Clair de Lune Rattan bed features a softly curved rattan framed headboard and solid wood footboard, a subtle reference to the curves of female form characterised in French furniture, these gentle curves will bring a softness to your bedroom design. The corners of the bed depict carvings that emulate ornamental French silk tassels, and the deep side rails have top and base border carvings, giving a considered finish to even the unseen elements of the bed.
The bed comes complete with four acorn corner finials which are removable and interchangeable with medium and tall finials (purchased separately) allowing you to change the overall appearance and stature of the bed according to your mood, your décor or your guests.
“We designed the Clair de Lune Collection to be all about thoughtful versatility; this creative approach allowed us to reduce waste by making the customisable elements from the same piece of wood, increasing choice and longevity, and a collection brimming with heart that will evolve with you and your home over time.”
