Our Gustavian collection mirrors the late eighteenth century Swedish twist on French neoclassicism that King Gustav III founded. The furniture is distinguished by distinctive shapes, fluted legs, and beaded detailing.

The Gustavian Oval Nightstand is characterised by vertical fluting to the sides and back. The tall, slightly turned legs have been tapered and gently fluted, referencing classic columns found in historical architecture. Acorn finials adorn the tops of the legs to create visual intrigue and contrast to the carved linear panels that sit beside the drawer. Fine, hand-carved pearl beading finishes the body of the bedside table, and the oval top is finished with a small 'lip' or rim, to ensure items don't easily slip off.
