Design Inspiration – Viktor & Maria
Viktor & Maria were Nina’s beloved grandparents, who lived on Sweden’s largest island, Gotland.

This design was inspired by the beautiful mock orange that grew beside the entrance to their home. Each summer, its dark green leaves were covered with delicate white, wonderfully fragrant flowers — a simple and familiar part of Nina’s memories of her grandparents and the Swedish countryside.

Although mock orange is a summer-blooming flower, its crisp white blossoms and deep green foliage feel wonderfully fresh for autumn and winter. The richer evergreen palette gives the design a beautifully grounded seasonal character, reflecting the deeper bottle, pine and evergreen greens now appearing across interiors and fashion.

Rather than following the traditional autumn palette of warm neutrals, Viktor & Maria brings depth and freshness through rich green and luminous white, creating a table setting that feels both contemporary and timeless.
