Striking in both scale and detail, this Indian sideboard is a beautifully weathered piece that combines bold craftsmanship with richly layered patina. Crafted in Gujarat from solid reclaimed wood and using old panelled doors, it features a timeworn painted finish in soft turquoise and faded natural tones, creating a look that is both vibrant and gently aged.

The front is defined by a series of intricately carved vintage cupboard doors, each centred with a radiating sunburst motif in an Indo-Portuguese style. The original paint has naturally worn over time, revealing layers beneath and lending the surface a textured, almost painterly quality. Subtle accents of cream and earthy undertones soften the blue, enhancing its depth and character.

To one side, a pair of drawers with simple metal pulls add both visual balance and practical storage, while the cupboards open to reveal generous shelved interiors. Below, an open base shelf provides additional space, making the piece as functional as it is decorative.

Natural wear, variations in colour, and surface imperfections are integral to the sideboard's appeal, telling the story of years of use and craftsmanship.
