More than 3,300 people are buried and many others commemorated at Westminster Abbey. Our historic church has also been the setting for every coronation since 1066, and for many other royal occasions, including 16 weddings. The inspiration behind our exclusive ‘People of Westminster Abbey’ range was commissioned to remember just a few of these famous faces.

Designed by British illustrator, Kirsty R. Walker, this notebook is adorned with hand-drawn illustrations of notable individuals buried or that have memorials in this renowned landmark; from Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Handel, the Brontë sisters, and Charles Darwin, to name a few.

Kirsty R. Walker is an Illustrator & Designer based in the Northeast of England, who studied Illustration at Loughborough University.
She has been Illustrating Greetings cards and Stationery products since 2001 and was always drawn to Children’s book illustrations and
stationary shops from a young age.
Kirsty uses a variety of mixed media, from gouache paints to printed collage to create her illustrations and has developed this series of historical figures exclusively for Westminster Abbey, with each one telling a story of their own.
