Description

DeepL Translate

The owners of this home in Wiltshire wanted to create a sugary sweet shower room which championed the colour pink.

The focal point within the room is the large double-entry shower which sits opposite the door, creating a real statement when you enter the room. A large traditional-style showerhead provides a luxurious showering experience, whilst the in-built storage niche offers the perfect place to house shower products, keeping the floor clear. A large shower tray has been integrated within the floor, sitting level with the floor tiles to create a seamless experience underfoot. The rest of the floor space features stunning large-format tiles in a marble pattern which complements the pink elements in the room perfectly. This tile was also used as a backdrop to the shower, tying the whole space together.

The large-format tiles in the shower were then book-ended with bevelled white metro tiles, providing an additional waterproof surface to protect the walls from any splashes from the walk-in shower. Matching towel warmers were installed on either side of the shower, in the same Brushed Nickel finish as the shower and the rest of the brassware in the room. The use of two towel warmers creates symmetry as well as provides heating for the large space.

Did you know?
A new trend emerging across British homes is transforming conventional bathroom design – one that eschews the traditional bath in favour of a sleek, modern shower. Data from leading bathroom design specialists Ripples reveals a resounding shift, with 90% of recent projects featuring a shower and over three-quarters of new bathrooms designed as dedicated shower spaces, driven by the need to maximise precious square metreage and lower both water and energy use compared to filling a large bath.
