Made from mixed earthenware clays with a nod to traditional sprig work pottery. A process in which separate clay motifs are fixed to the main body of the work. Normally these are made in moulds but mine are all hand cut and modelled.
This is the second version of Queen Mab. The previous version is now in a private collection.
There is a subtle hint of oxide colour decoration and the piece has a waxed and polished finish.
