The two sides also feature the V.R insignia and are mounted with bronze swing handles. All the surfaces are framed with multiple foliate and floral tooled borders. The box is fitted with a Bramah patent lock, stamped S. Mordan & Co. Patent, Warranted, and it retains its original key. The green leather lined interior has raised sides and a foliate design decorating the inner rim. There is a lattice work of ribbon inside the lid.
