Description
DeepL TranslateInspired by the extraordinary way colours transform when layered over one another, Solar Chroma explores the dialogue between light, transparency and form. Overlapping geometric planes create unexpected colour combinations, while two radiant circular forms bring warmth and balance to the composition, like twin suns illuminating an abstract landscape.
As with all of Sonya’s work, Solar Chroma is designed to bring joy through colour. It combines bold geometry with subtle optical effects, creating a rug that changes throughout the day as natural light shifts across its surface. Both sculptural and inviting, it is intended to be lived with, enjoyed and appreciated as a piece of functional art.
The rectangular version of our original Solar Chroma Rug is designed for those who appreciate symmetry and precision. Retaining the vibrant colours of the original, its clean, straight edges bring a sense of balance and structure.
