Description

The Jangada Armchair, designed by Jean Gillon in 1968, is an emblem of Brazilian modernist design, inspired by the traditional fishing rafts of Bahia. With a hardwood frame, plush leather cushions, and a distinctive seat crafted from nylon fishing rope, the armchair seamlessly blends natural materials with innovative craftsmanship. Although the Jangada Armchair was originally designed with a matching stool, at Cobogó Gallery, it is available for purchase both with and without the stool. The price listed here is for the armchair without the stool.
All Jean Gillon furniture is crafted with the authorisation and close supervision of the designer's family, ensuring each piece remains true to his original vision and craftsmanship.
Soon, Exclusively available at Cobogó Gallery in Europe.
