A Kitchen Worth Escaping To Tucked away in the Sussex countryside, this bespoke kitchen is more than a place to cook – it’s a space to gather, unwind, and enjoy the slower pace of country living. Designed and handcrafted by our team at Woodworks Brighton, it blends refined materials with relaxed luxury, creating something truly one of a kind.

The cabinetry fronts are made from vintage oak, stained in a deep charcoal that brings out the natural grain and gives the whole space a grounded, tactile warmth. The finish feels timeless, slightly rustic but with a tailored edge. Every line, joint, and curve was thought through and hand-finished in our workshop. The entire bespoke kitchen is topped with a stunning slab of River Jade marble. Cool, organic, and full of movement, the stone ties everything together with quiet confidence.

We couldn’t resist adding a little drama. The built-in cocktail bar, finished in a liquid brass spray, catches the light beautifully – a subtle nod to Art Deco charm without overwhelming the room. It’s perfect for evening entertaining or just pouring a glass of something cold after a long day.

One of our favourite features? The glorious built-in banquette that backs onto the kitchen island. Upholstered in rich, green fabric, it wraps you up and invites long, lazy breakfasts or late-night chats. It connects the kitchen and living space in a way that feels effortless and natural.
