The story behind Say It With Songs is one of a former music manager identifying a gap in the market and filling it with an idea that spreads love, warmth and happiness. Ellie Fitzgerald worked in music management for two decades and handled the careers of artists including Alexandra Burke, The Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt and JB Gill (JLS) before launching Say It With Songs in Jan 2020 after facing redundancy at the start of the first lockdown.
The idea was sparked by her deep passion for music and a national need to bring cheer to loved ones from afar. Ellie believes the Say It With Songs Christmas card collection will help unite loved ones that are separated through the power of music-captured memories.
Ellie says: “Say It With Songs is dedicated to connecting people through music. Whether you want to tell someone how you feel, or remind them of a memory - music can do this in a magical way that can't help but bring joy when we need it the most.”
Proving in another way that music really does change lives, Say it with Songs is proud to support music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins. A 10% donation from every card sale will help them continue their brilliant work using music to enrich the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses, disabilities and feelings of isolation.
And it doesn’t stop there. Say It With Songs has a range of cards for all occasions, including Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and more. It’s the perfect card to tell your number one how much they mean by giving them one track that takes you back to where it began…
Say it with Songs has been nominated for not one, but two highly prestigious awards - The Gift Association has nominated the brand for ‘Best Gift 2022’ and are a finalist in this years Henries in the category of ‘Best Contemporary Trend’ range.

The Mother of all Mothers Day Cards, New for 2021
Say it with Songs has launched a collection of cards just in time for Mothers Day to bring us closer to our Mum’s through the power of a song!
This Mothers Day we will all be missing our Mothers more than ever. If the current covid restrictions stay in place, giving them a long awaited hug let alone a Mothers Day lunch to make them feel special will have to wait.
Say it with Songs have curated a range of cards with a difference specifically for Mothers Day. Playable cards that feature an instantly recognisable song lyric on the front and thanks to technology built into the design, recipients can play the full song instantly and as many times as they like by scanning a QR code on the reverse.
From ‘Mama’ by The Spice Girls, ‘Oh Pretty Woman’ By Roy Orbison, to ‘Because you loved me’ By Celine Dion, ‘Make you Feel My Love’ by Adele or ‘You Raise Me Up’ by Westife - the collection features the songs with lyrics that speak to the heart, resonate and enable us to connect through the powerful words from the best songwriters in the World.
Say it with Songs is a range of beautiful greeting cards launched with one aim - to help us connect (and reconnect) with special people in our lives.
Founder Ellie Fitzgerald was inspired last February while shopping for a Valentine’s Day card for her husband, Paul. Scouring row after row of cards in shop after shop, the former talent manager struggled to find a card that perfectly expressed how she felt after nearly 20 years of marriage. Then her and Paul’s favourite song began playing in the store. It was a lightbulb moment.
She says: “I needed a card that featured those exact lyrics because they explained what I was feeling in my heart, a card that combined the sentiment of a greeting card with the power of a song. With my background in music and brand building, I knew I could make the idea work.”
The Say it with Songs range is now available online via its dedicated website www.sayitwithsongs.com and in a number of independent retailers. The Christmas range was snapped up through music outlet HMV, and is soon to launch on Not On The High Street. Cards are priced at £3.99
