XV stripes was born from a meeting of minds. Founder Izzey Hung nurtured the desire to reflect her love of the ocean, and all things on it and under it – particularly the Isle of Wight & Hampshire – her home. When an intensive search failed to inspire her, with lack of sustainable quality products, she decided the time had come to follow her dream. XV stripes was born. An introduction to designer Vicky Sanders, Ex Head of Design at Matthew Williamson and Zara Home, the creative process and story of XV began.

XV Stripes launch new coaster and placemat collection
Coastal-inspired interior brand XV Stripes has launched a new collection of placemats and coasters to bring a touch of the sea to the dinner table.
The Cardinal Placemat and Coaster sets each feature hand-drawn images of cardinal buoys in a striking yellow, grey and white colour scheme. There are four designs in each set, honouring all four points of the compass and the brand’s home on the Isle of Wight.
Izzey Hung, Founder of XV Stripes, said: “Our placemat and coaster collection are exquisitely simple. They pay homage to our glorious surroundings on the Isle of Wight and will add a coastal feel to dinner times.”
Aesthetics aside, these coasters and placemats have also been designed to stand up to even the most demanding of dinner times. They are heat resistant and manufactured in the UK, from full colour satin finish printed melamine with a hardboard base.
The reverse side is covered with an attractive and durable cork backing. They are heat resistant to 145ºC as well as being scratch and stain resistant.
