Description

The bottle brush, named for its fuzzy red flower spikes, is a wonderfully unique plant. It's perfect for your sunny sheltered garden, ideal for instance, as part of a Mediterranean theme.
Plant position - Any location
Any type of soil - Well drained
Flowering period - Spring
Dig soil improver in to the soil. Dig a hole twice as big as the pot, remove the pot from the rootball and place in the hole, ensuring the top of the plant roots is level with the soil surface. Backfill soil around the roots and water well
Regular feeding and an occasional trim to keep in shape
Soil pH - Acid to neutral
H3 - Hardy in coastal & relatively mild parts of the UK (-5 to 1°C)
