Description

One globe, two alternative presentations. The cartography used in both reflects the modern world, including the most recent changes to political borders, boundaries and name changes. Contrasting designs allow for differing tastes - traditional or contemporary.
The traditional version is delivered in a classic style to resemble a British library globe from the 19th Century. Shellac and lacquer form a perfect hard wearing finish to this exquisite desktop globe. The brass work has been given a light age in keeping with the aesthetic of the cartography.
The contemporary version has a brighter livery, finished in a clear lacquer and satin nickel stand.
We source the wood locally, repurposing where we can. The timber for
these globes comes from Britain's oldest seaside pier, Ryde, on the Isle of Wight.
These globes can be personalised, see here for options
