Description

These fierce looking creatures are Chinese temple lions, often also referred to as 'foo dogs'. They are traditionally seen in pairs (male and female) outside the entrances of temples, restaurants or other businesses in China, acting as powerful guardians against evil spirits. These ones are from Beijing and individually carved in stone so they can vary slightly. They are great used as bookends or door stops, or simply as interesting ornaments. Sold as a pair, the price shown is for the two lions.
