Rich in heritage, this Indian chakki side table is carved from an original teak wood stand, traditionally used in rural Gujarat as the base for a quern stone to grind wheat and other grains. Once an essential part of daily life in India, it has been thoughtfully repurposed, preserving its authentic structure while transforming it into a distinctive and functional piece of furniture.

The circular top is formed from solid teak planks, gently worn with age and use. A raised rim surrounds the surface, while the outer band is adorned with hand-carved geometric and floral motifs, adding depth and decorative interest. The robust supports are equally detailed, featuring bold carved elements and traditional patterns, reflecting the skilled craftsmanship of its origins.
