Description

The two doors set centrally in this handsome warm elm sideboard are a feature of furniture from Qinghai province in western China and give it a simple, clean style. The spaces behind the fixed panels either side of the doors are accessible, and the cabinet has a single removable shelf inside. Three drawers at the top provide extra storage and make this piece ideal as a modern day dining room sideboard. Drawers were quite rare in early Chinese cabinets so this piece is a more contemporary version of a classic Ming design. Made from reclaimed elm wood with brass hardware.
