Can you tell us a bit about you, your role and the business?


I’m Rob, one of the two founders at COAT Paints. The other is called Rob too, which is easy. I look after all our Sales, Marketing and Brand activity. We’re a new paint brand focused on simplicity and sustainability - making decorating super easy for our customers. High-grade eco paints, easy Peel & Stick swatches and next day delivery - all from a Carbon Neutral business.



Which PR Activities do you do with Press Loft?


We use Press Loft to host all of our image assets which allows us to take a very hands off approach as journalists simply download our images assets and use them within relevant articles. It drives a tremendous amount of value and efficiency from a PR perspective for the brand. 



How is Press Loft helping your company and / or you in your role?


We launched COAT officially in September 2020. Since then we’ve built a huge community of decorators and delivered over 10,000 customer orders too. Simple, eco-conscious products and a super easy buying experience - COAT is really resonating with a new generation of painters.



What were you doing before you used Press Loft? How do we compare?


We’ve been using Press Loft since day one of COAT when Lisa, our PR guru, introduced us to the platform. We explore other ways of doing things but the platform just makes so much sense as a centralised ‘hub’ so it was a no-brainer decision for us.



What sort of business would you recommend Press Loft to?


Most businesses really, but definitely startups like ours who are looking for outreach and brand visibility early days. Press Loft gave us a great platform to share our content and our messaging with lots of people who probably hadn’t heard of the brand at that point.  I think being a “visual” business might help too, as we naturally grab attention as a paint company with such colourful and visually appealing imagery on the platform.



What successes have you had with Press Loft?


Aside from the fact that it saves us a ton of time having a central platform for everything, we’ve had such a great response to the business since we started. Our images get downloaded a lot, and the inbound queries are great - really helps a small business like ours get the message out there. We’ve had coverage in huge publications which for a company as young as ours is amazing.

As a platform Press Loft opens up the lines of communication with journalists which I don’t think is easy to get anywhere else if you don’t work in the space.
