Can you tell us a bit about you, your role and the business?


Hiya everyone, my names Emily and I’m PR Executive for Hunter Douglas. I work across 3 different window dressing brands. Two of the companies I work for are based here in the UK, Hillarys and Thomas Sanderson and one is based on the other side of the globe in Australia, Victory Blinds and Curtains. As PR Executive I generate online and offline media coverage, build relationships with journalists (mainly those within the lifestyle/ homes and interior sector) and implement PR campaign strategies alongside my team. That’s my role in a nutshell!


Which PR Activities do you do with Press Loft?


We utilise Press Loft in a number of ways for our brands PR activity. The main thing we use the platform for is for displaying all of our beautiful imagery. We have a range of lifestyle and window dressing imagery for all 3 brands, and Press Loft is the perfect platform to allow us to showcase our imagery to journalists, bloggers and influencers. We also use Press Loft to find relevant journo requests that we can respond to and engage with journalists who are seeking content. We use Press Loft for distributing press releases and reaching a wide pool of people who might be interested.


How is Press Loft helping your company and/or you in your role?

Press Loft is very useful for us to monitor which images and press releases are being picked up and downloaded most by journalists. They also alert us when we have received coverage, allowing us to stay up to date on our reports. The platform also gives us the opportunity to connect with new journalists.


What were you doing before you used Press Loft?

We weren’t using any similar software before Press Loft so it’s really widened our exposure and allowed us to share our beautiful imagery whilst creating valuable relationships with the media.


What sort of business would you recommend Press Loft to?

I’d say any business that has visual assets which they’d love to get into the press would be well suited for Press Loft. There’s such a range of journalists looking for all sorts of imagery, the possibilities really are endless!
